All trucks have blind spots. The graphic on the right illustrates the blind spots on tractors, but the problem is endemic to most straight trucks, buses, RVs and SUVs. LaneScan provides an important tool to help drivers proactively manage visibility into these No Zones, turning them into safer Go Zones.
Go Zone – The Solution for Most Trucks
 Go Zone is used to give the drivers of straight trucks, tractors, buses, RVs and SUVs substantially greater visibility into multiple lanes of traffic on the both sides of the vehicle at the push of a button so they know when it is safe to “go”. The driver can scan one or more lanes of traffic before changing lanes, merging, backing or any other difficult visibility situation. When the button is released, the mirror will automatically return to its original set position, ensuring proper mirror adjustment and allowing the driver normal viewing so that they can remain safe and focused on the road ahead.
Go Zone is easily and inexpensively retrofitted onto most trucks. It comes with a heated powered mirror, a dash mounted control unit and a remote activation button. Your spot mirror can be modified to enable it to move along with your powered mirror. Go Zone is also available as an original equipment option from most OEM’s. |
